There really should be an effort to keep up with this sort of thing...

So, being a big fan of Douglas Adams I decided to watch the following link but don't recommend that you do until you've read what I have to say.

Somewhere around when I was 14 years old (1995) and the internet was young, Douglas Adams set about to make a show explaining what the internet was, what things you'd encounter on the internet, their history and their applications. Its sort of interesting to see people fumbling to explain hypertext and multimedia to an audience that has no idea what hypertext or multimedia is. Or listening to early explanations of the ideas that lead to the internet. Now this if of course very British and very of its time so don't expect much but its very fascinating to see how right, wrong and irrelevant the predictions were. Undoubtedly it would be better if someone shortened this to two very entertaining minutes because I doubt any of you feel like wasting 45 minutes of your lives. That being said, keep an eye out for predictions made in the recent past about what the present would be like.
